Temperature control (TC) vaping is the new craze and a sought after technological solution vapers seeking dry and burnt hits. TC vaping kits are best for consistent vape since while vaping the temperature of the device stays the same. Such devices let user pick the right temperature limit from a range of 300°F to 600°F (100°C to 315°C). The power sent to the coil then automatically adjusts to the chosen temperature.

Requirements you need to have to vape in TC:

To begin with a TC vape, you’re required to have a vape mod that supports TC.  Features may however differ from device to device.  Some mods though offer special and advanced features to the vapers. Now a number of reputed brands have started manufacturing great vape mods with TC support. Aspire, Vaporesso, Modefined, and Smoant are a few.

For temperature controlled vaping, following are the wires used:

Nickel 200:

The wire is also known as Ni200. It was one that the companies used in early days. Now they are almost out of fashion as some vapers appeared to be nickel sensitive.

Titanium Grade 1:

Also known as Ti, it’s popular with most TC vape mods. However, vapers need to make sure that the coil does not get overheated.

Stainless Steel:

TC units made of stainless steel wires are now popular with vapers. It’s readily available in various grades such as 304, 316, 316L, 317, and 430.

Nickel ferrous:

Dubbed as NiFe, the coil comes in various grades such as 48, 30, 52, and 70 and can be used in either mode. The coil is scarcely available.

To note, different grades of metals have different TCR values.  Some TC mods offer customizable TC resistance that enables any TC-capable coil to be used most accurately.

Best temperature to vape e-juice:

If you are clueless about the best temperature to vape, here is the take. Usually, the standard vaping temperature goes around 392°F to 480°F (200°C to 250°C). The temperature is usually adjusted quickly in increments of 10°F (5°C).

With temperature control vaping kits, you needn’t to worry about overhearing of coils and wicks while taking long vape hits. As soon you run out of juice, you will notice that vapor is dropping off.

It’s recommended that you should adjust the temperature up or down if you feel like. The definition of best temperature differs from one vapor to the other. It depends upon the extent of throat hit experience you expect.

Do note that if you notice any dryness when you’re low on e-juice, adjust the temperature down. In case you’re using a wattage control vape mod, you can adjust that too. Usually, TC coils are often very low resistance, and reasonable power is needed to heat them effectively.

The Pros of Temperature Control Kits:

The major advantage with TC control vape pods is that it easily prevents dry and burnt hits. If the wick runs dry in your pod, the temperature starts rising. In that case the TC unit immediately cut power to compensate. As the temperature control units prevent over-heating the coil, TC coils can last longer if compared to the normal power-mode coils.
